Who are Olive Branch Resources?

Olive Branch Resources (OBR) is a 100% Aboriginal-owned mining services contractor founded by Timothy Champion Senior, a respected Aboriginal elder and community member of the Goldfields Region of Western Australia. The company is operated by Chairman, James Champion and the Champion family, representing the Marlinyu Ghoorlie Claim Group.

Who are Brooks Hire Service?

Brooks Hire Service is a Western Australian family owned and operated company. Founded by Doug Brooks in 1979, the company is operated by the Brooks family and has grown to be one of the largest privately owned equipment hire companies in Australia.

    When it comes to mining and construction, Lenore Brooks was born to be a part of it. The daughter of Doug Brooks, founder and CEO of Brooks Hire Service, Lenore officially joined the Brooks family business upon completion of her Business Degree in 2012. With a special passion for community and social governance, Lenore is the driving force behind BROOKS OBR MAIA.

    James Champion is a respected Elder who is an Applicant and a member to the Marlinyu Ghoorlie Claim Group. James has lived most of his life in the Kalgoorlie / Goldfield Region and knows the country to the core. With over 30+ years’ experience within the mining industry, James understands and executes what it means to deliver the Aboriginal Culture.
